All lessons canceled due to emergency or conflicts due to the teacher’s schedule will be rescheduled to a mutually-agreeable date/time.  If the lesson cannot be rescheduled, then the lesson fee will not be charged to the student.

If a student's lesson will conflict with other activities (e.g., sports, theatre production, field trip, etc) or family obligations, we ask that at least one week's notice is given so that a lesson may be rescheduled, if possible.  If a week's notice is given, and a lesson cannot be rescheduled, the student will not be charged for that missed lesson. If less than 2-days' notice is given, the missed lesson will be considered "casually missed."

A missed lesson will be considered "casually missed" if less than 2-days' notice is given, and  the student will still be charged as if the lesson had occurred.  Casually-missed lessons will be made up at the teacher's discretion.

Each student is expected to prepare adequately for every lesson.  If a productive lesson is not possible because of a student's failure to prepare, the lesson may be ended early or canceled altogether, at the discretion of the teacher.  In such a case, the student will still be charged the full fee for that lesson.

We understand that everyone may have an emergency.  If that is the case, please notify the teacher immediately, and the lesson will be rescheduled, if possible.

We ask that if a student exhibits cold-like or flu-like symptoms, he/she should not attend his/her lesson, for the health and well-being of the teacher and the other students.  If a student arrives for a lesson exhibiting such symptoms, we reserve the right to send the student home, and will charge the student as if a full lesson occurred.
If a student fails to attend three (3) lessons without proper notification, it is at the teacher's discretion to continue lessons with that student.
